On June 14, Colorado Governor Jared Polis signed House Bill 20-1421, allowing counties to continue to provide property tax relief by reducing, waiving, or suspending interest associated with the late payment of property taxes. The proposed resolution would provide relief to property owners by taking full advantage of the bill. The resolution would authorize a full interest waiver associated with the late payment of property taxes beginning July 1 through Oct. 1, 2020.
