A bill for an ordinance approving a proposed Agreement between the City and County of Denver and the Denver Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau (“Visit Denver”), to direct a portion of the City’s lodger’s tax to Visit Denver to pay for convention and tourism marketing services. (BUSINESS, WORKFORCE & SUSTAINABILITY) Approves an expenditure contract with Metro Denver Convention & Visitor Bureau (dba Visit Denver) for ten (10) years for implementation of convention and tourism marketing services to promote the City of Denver as a visitor destination, funded by receipts from the City’s “Lodger’s Tax" (201312480). The Committee approved filing this bill at its meeting on 8-28-13.
