A bill for an ordinance authorizing expenditures in the General Government Special Revenue Fund based on a letter of intent from United States of America to award funding for the “Head Start Grant FY 2013-14” program. (HEALTH, SAFETY, EDUCATION & SERVICES) Appropriates 50% of the United States Department of Health and Human Services grant by a Letter of Intent in the amount of $4,182,673 for total funding of $8,365,346 for program year beginning July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2104 to provide education, health, dental, mental health, nutrition, and family services for 3-5 year old children and their families. The Committee approved filing this bill by consent on 6-20-13.
