A bill for an ordinance modifying the Comcast cable franchise agreement to extend the term of the franchise for an additional three months to September 30, 2013, subject to additional month-to-month extensions thereafter upon the written approval of the Mayor.
(GOVERNMENT & FINANCE) Extends the current Comcast franchise agreement for a three month period, through September 30, 2013, with three one-month extensions with the approval of the Mayor. The current franchise is set to expire June 30, 2013. This ordinance allows sufficient time for the new franchise to go through the City Council process once the negotiations are complete. The Committee approved filing this bill by consent on 5-16-13.
