A bill for an ordinance amending Article I, Chapter 53 (Taxation and Miscellaneous Revenue) of the Revised Municipal Code, to authorize the collection of past due finds, debts, fees, or dishonored bank drafts and other negotiable instruments in any court of competent jurisdiction.
(GOVERNMENT & FINANCE) Revises the Denver Revised Municipal Code (Sec. 53-4(a)) to allow collection lawsuits to be filed in “any court of competent jurisdiction” to accommodate collections for citations issued in mountain parks. The Committee approved filing this bill by consent on 2-27-14.
