Executive Summary with Rationale and Impact:

To accept partial Formula & Minority AIDS Initiative (MAI) Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of 2009 Part A funds for the Denver Metropolitan Area in the amount of $3,691,985.00 from the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) for the period of March 1, 2017 - February 28, 2018 to provide services to persons living with HIV/AIDS in the Denver Metropolitan Area. Once the federal funder (HRSA) determines its final 2017 budget, the remainder of the funds will be disbursed. This is the 24th year the Department of Environmental Health, Denver Office of HIV Resources (DOHR) has received Ryan White Part A funding from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services through the Health Resources & Services Administration. 

 

The Ryan White Part A funds enables the Denver Office of HIV Resources to conduct its work in procuring services for people living with HIV/AIDS, as well as cover administrative and oversight costs to run the program. The program is entirely funded with federal dollars.
