Executive Summary with Rationale and Impact:
The CCP Metropolitan Districts were approved in 2014 to support the redevelopment of the ASARCO smelting plant site. The redevelopment site straddles the Denver/Adams County boarder with approximately 20% of the site located in Denver County. A total of four metro districts were approved; #1 and #2 in Denver and #3 and #4 in Adams. It was always contemplated and the metro district service plans were drafted understanding the districts would coordinate to promote redevelopment activities.
