A resolution approving a proposed Contract between the City and County of Denver and M.A. Mortenson Company related to the Glenbrook Detention Basin.
Approves a contract with M. A. Mortenson Company for $3,940,045 and for seven months for improved and enlarged storm water detention facilities including water quality features, landscape and irrigation improvements, a new concrete trail system connecting the existing trail system to the neighborhood, and other features as part of the Glenbrook Detention Basin project in Council District 2 (201734984). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 8-28-17. The Committee approved filing this resolution by consent on 7-25-17.

Type and Scope of services to be performed: The project is situated in the Marston Neighborhood in southwest Denver. This project is to permanently protect adjacent residential properties located on the northern project boundary from flooding. The project will provide improved and enlarged stormwater detention facilities with inclusion of water quality features in the City-owned natural area immediately south to the Garrison/Union Park. Along with new landscape and irrigation improvements, a new concrete trail system will be constructed to connect the existing trail system to the neighborhood and the Garrison/Union Park. Also included is the Add Alt. 1 to construct the west trail loop.
