Title: A resolution approving a proposed First Amendment to Lease Agreement between the City and County of Denver and The Greenway Foundation for the lease of a building and parking lot within Habitat Park. Type and Scope of services to be performed: The Greenway Foundation is a non-profit corporation engaged through its South Platte River Environmental Education (SPREE) program in programmatic activities for environmental education and stewardship efforts to improve and maintain natural areas along and near the South Platte River. The Greenway Foundation leases a small building and associated parking lot within Johnson-Habitat Park to be used exclusively for nonprofit purposes; they are charged a nominal rental rate in consideration of the environmental education and stewardship services provided to Parks & Recreation and Denver residents. The SPREE program has served Denver for almost 30 years, and The Greenway Foundation has invested over $100,000 in improvements at the leased premises.
