A resolution approving a proposed License Agreement between the City and County of Denver and Forest City Stapleton, Inc, Park Creek Metropolitan District, and Stapleton Development Corporation concerning utilization of airport property for construction activities to facilitate development at the former Stapleton International Airport at Denver International Airport.
Approves a license agreement with Park Creek Metropolitan District to allow the developer to utilize airport property for construction activities to facilitate development at the former Stapleton Airport in the area bounded by 46th Place, Central Park Boulevard, 47th Avenue, and Beeler Street in Council District 8 (PLANE 201735448). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 9-25-17. The Committee approved filing this resolution by consent on 8-23-17.

Type and Scope of services to be performed: The Department of Aviation enters into License agreements with various entities to facilitate the Redevelopment of the Stapleton Site. Licenses are required by the Department of Aviation to provide permitted activities on Aviation property to Support Development. The license agreement will allow the District and Developer to perform certain “Permitted Activities” shall mean the following: (i) general construction traffic access, ingress and egress; (ii) stockpiling and grading of soil and fill; (iii) maintenance and use of such stockpiled and graded soils; (iv) construction and maintenance of public utilities and infrastructure; and (v) installation and maintenance of storm water management controls as set forth in the District’s Storm Water Management Plan Permit.
