A bill for an ordinance approving and providing for the execution of a proposed Intergovernmental Agreement between the City and County of Denver and the State of Colorado, Department of Transportation, concerning the "Traffic Signal System Improvement Program - Denver TSSIP 2016-2018 Signals" project and the funding therefor.
Approves a grant agreement with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) for $3,310,727 and through 08-20-22 to fund the Traffic Signal System Improvement Program (TSSIP) for upgrades to traffic signals to over 100 intersections in Council districts 9 and 10 (201736600). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 10-23-17. The Committee approved filing this bill by consent on 9-19-17.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
Funding grant for the Traffic Signal System Improvement Program - Denver TSSIP 2016, 2017, 2018. This Agreement encompasses the furnishing and installing system software and equipment, signal equipment, communication services and signal system improvements to signalized intersections within the Central Business District. There is no City match required on this project. The funds from this Grant will provide for upgrades to over 100 intersections in the Central Business District of downtown. The intersections fall within the area bounded by I-25, Colfax, Broadway and Park Avenue West. Exhibit A (page 26 in the Grant.pdf) provides a full description of the Scope of Work for this project.
