A resolution approving and providing for the execution of a proposed grant agreement between the City and County of Denver and the United States Department of Health and Human Services concerning the "Head Start FY17-18" program and the funding therefor.
Approves the full grant award in the amount of $9,188,648 from the United States Department of Health and Human Services for a contract term through 6-30-18 to operate the Denver Great Kids Head Start program through the Office of Children’s Affairs to provide services to 1,153 children in Denver (MOEAI - 201736898). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 10-30-17. The Committee approved filing this resolution by consent on 9-27-17.

The United States Department of Health and Human Services - Administration for Children and Families has awarded Grant Number 08CH1119-05 in the amount of $9,098,563.00 along with COLA amount of $90,085 to the City and County of Denver - Office of Children’s Affairs to operate the Federal Head Start program and provide services to 1,153 children in its established service area. This Notice of Award fully funds Denver Great Kids Head Start from July 1, 2017 thru June 30, 2018.
