A resolution approving and providing for the execution of a proposed amendment to the grant agreement between the City and County of Denver and the United States concerning the consolidation of the 2017-2018 Continuum of Care (CoC) Women’s Lowry and Veterans programs into the "CoC_Veterans_17_18” and the funding therefore.
Amends the Continuum of Care (CoC) Veterans grant award from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) by adding $457,472 for a new total of $506,160 to consolidate the CoC Women’s Lowry and Veterans grants into the Veterans grant to provide 4 units of housing for chronically homeless men or women veterans and 41 units of housing for women (SOCSV-2017-36555).

This request is a consolidation effort being initiated to reduce the amount of administrative burden the city, as well as the funder, incur in processing the Continuum of Care (CoC) grants each year. The program is working toward consolidating all projects into one grant, where as previously DDHS would process ten separate grants each year. This phase of the consolidation will combine all the CoC programs having a November 1st start date. This includes the following projects: Women’s Lowry & Veterans. The current funds will be rescinded from Women’s Lowry and combined into the surviving project which will be named Veterans.
