A resolution approving a proposed Amendatory Agreement between the City and County of Denver and Denver Options, Inc., for services and supports for intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals.
Amends a contract with Denver Options, Inc., doing business as Rocky Mountain Human Services (RMHS), by changing the maximum amount not to exceed to $7.5 million and to add six months for a new end date of 6-30-18 to provide services and distribute funds to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities citywide (SOCSV-201209022-01). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 1-8-18. The Committee approved filing this resolution at its meeting on 12-13-17.

Type and Scope of services to be performed: This contract extension enables Rocky Mountain Human Services (RMHS), the State-designated Community Centered Board (CCB) for Denver, to continue funding services and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) using dedicated City and County of Denver mill levy revenue for six months. Over half the funding is expected to go directly to individuals with I/DD in Denver or special projects to provide new services for individuals with I/DD in Denver. The remainder is used by RMHS to provide enhanced services above and beyond what Medicaid and the State will cover. The short-term extension gives DHS the opportunity to conduct a community needs assessment and negotiate a more comprehensive agreement with RMHS.
