A resolution approving a proposed Amendatory Agreement between the City and County of Denver and URS Corporation for the 56th and Peña Boulevard interchange project.
Amends a contract with URS Corporation to add a completion date of 09-30-19 and to narrow the scope of work to focus on the environmental and design engineering of the 56th Avenue and Peña Boulevard Interchange operational and safety improvements in Council District 11. No change to contract amount (PWADM-20120538). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 2-5-18. The Committee approved filing this resolution by consent on 12-12-17.

Scope of Work
• The scope of work is being amended to only focus on the environmental and design engineering of the 56th Avenue and Pena Boulevard Interchange operational and safety improvements.
• The Amendment is excluding from the scope of work the environmental and conceptual/preliminary design for 56th Avenue from Chambers Road to Pena Boulevard.
Fee
• No change in the original fee of $900k ($622,390 remaining).
• Includes consultant rate increases of 2012 (original) rates plus 5%.
Schedule
• No change in schedule, the original language in the Agreement is: the original term of the Agreement shall commence on execution of this Agreement and expire upon final completion of the Project, unless sooner terminated, upon final completion of the Project.
• The Amendment is now including a completion by date of September 30th, 2019.
