A resolution approving a proposed First Amendment between the City and County of Denver and Swinerton Builders concerning on call general construction projects at Denver International Airport.
Amends a contract with Swinerton Builders by adding $2 million for a new contract total in the amount of $27 million for on-call general construction facility projects and anticipated modernization and improvement plans at Denver International Airport. There is no change to the contract duration (201627941). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 1-16-18. The Committee approved filing this resolution by consent on 12-13-17.

Type and Scope of services to be performed: The amendment adds $2M to an existing contract with Swinerton to provide on-call general construction for facility projects around DEN. The amendment is required to keep up with DEN modernization and improvement plans, and provide a bridge of capacity until new contracts are in place. Currently, our four existing contracts are 70% expended, with two-thirds of our remaining $30M capacity with a single contractor. The amendment will allow us to continue to complete work and stay on schedule supporting multiple DEN initiatives.
