Type and Scope of services to be performed:
Building 24 is the newest addition to the Denver County Jail campus. The first phase of construction was completed in 2012 as a component of the Denver Justice Center Bond Project. It includes four housing pods which are currently used to lodge low-risk male offenders. At the time of construction, two additional pods where shelled out for future construction which are Levels 6 & 7. Those pods will now be completed as the Denver Sheriff Department moves to improve the living conditions and programmatic opportunities for women offenders, as well as the working conditions for the staff assigned to their safety, security, care and custody. Upon completion, all women offenders on the County Jail Campus will move into Building 24 and the men will move to Building 21 where the women are currently housed. This change will allow for women in-custody to be properly housed based on their classification status as Building 24 provides variations in jail pod design.
