Executive Summary with Rationale and Impact:

Detailed description of the item and why we are doing it. This can be a separate attachment.

The Yale corridor adjacent to the Yale Station (between Dahlia to Glencoe) has a unique set of circumstances with currently-funded overlapping capital projects. Two implementation projects, the E. Yale Stormwater project and Yale & Dahlia signal replacement are going to be under construction concurrently this winter/spring near the Yale Station. Through the project integration and considering the Public Works Complete Streets policy, there was an opportunity to make an improved connection to the new signal for pedestrian safety linking the signal crossing with the Yale Station. To support the pedestrian improvements, Public Works and Arapahoe County agreed that remaining funding from the completed Yale/Syracuse project (construction of improvements at Yale and Syracuse and study of Yale Avenue as related to the Wabash Bridge) could be repurposed to this location on the Yale corridor to provide regional benefit to the surrounding neighborhoods in both jurisdictions.
