Type and Scope of services to be performed:

This federally funded project, is to improve the drainage conditions in the Basins 0062-01 & 4500-02 (approximate areas between S. Platte River to East 13th Ave. and from North Williams Street to North Grant Street) during a minor (5 year) storm event. This fourth and final Segment is continuation of the previous third Segment Blake St. to Curtis St. 

 

The 33rd Street Outfall project is a major stormwater project ongoing since 2016 - this will be the fourth segment of the new storm sewer system installation that began at the South Platte River and will extend from Curtis to Downing, and proceed east on MLK to Lafayette. www.denvergov.org/33rdstreetoutfall <http://www.denvergov.org/33rdstreetoutfall>

The new system will be improve drainage during a five year storm event for Five Points, Whittier and City Park West, and will ultimately connect upstream to future systems planned for neighborhoods to the east.

 

Crews will be installing new larger underground storm conduit infrastructure deep underground, and coordinating with utility companies so they can underground other services while we are excavating. The contract will also cover a complete roadway reconstruction after the installations, with curb and gutter improvements, ADA infrastructure, traffic signal and intersection improvements and repaving.
