A resolution approving and providing for the execution of a proposed Grant Agreement between the City and County of Denver and the State of Colorado Department of Transportation concerning the “FY18 CCTV Network Upgrade” and the funding therefor.
Approves a grant agreement with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) for $766,434 and for ten years to fund the deployment of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras with pan, tilt, and zoom functionality at multiple intersections, citywide (201844204). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 10-22-18. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 9-18-18.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
The proposed ordinance will allow deployment of CCTV cameras with pan, tilt, zoom (PTZ) functionality. The cameras will be deployed along Colorado Blvd at 22 intersections, Colfax Ave at 14 intersections, University Blvd at 7 intersections, Evans Ave at 4 intersections, Hampden Ave at 4 intersections, 1st Ave and Milwaukee St, Quebec St at 6th Ave, and Monaco Pkwy at Mexico Ave. Cameras will be made available to the NiceVision server and accessible to CDOT, and potentially other agencies in the future. Intersections identified for camera deployment may be added or subtracted based on design issues or other projects in the project area. Funding on the design and construction of this project is from the Traffic Signal System Improvement Program funds (80% Federal Funds and 20% Local Funds). The proposed ordinance will allow the City to receive and expend funds in the amount of $613,147 to be received from CDOT.
