A bill for an ordinance making rescissions, cash transfers, and supplemental appropriations from the General Fund Contingency to Departments.
Approves a supplemental appropriation of $6,592,000 from General Fund Contingency for several city agencies, including the Denver Sheriff Department, the Office of the Municipal Public Defender, and Technology Services, as well as for Capital Improvement Project funds for Real Estate and Navigate Denver North. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 10-16-18.

Supplemental Appropriations from General Fund Contingency:
Denver Sheriff Department: Requests $1,867,000 for personnel costs associated with the 2018-2019 Collective Bargaining Agreement. The CBA was not finalized/approved until after the 2018 budget had been finalized. Accounting number 01010-3530000.
Office of the Municipal Public Defender: Requests $100,000 to support contract attorneys to cover a General Sessions court room that was created after the finalization of the 2018 budget. Accounting No. 01010-0520000.
Technology Services: Requests $80,000 to support the operations for the Open Media Foundation through the end of this year. Accounting number 01010-3070000.
Department of Finance - Real Estate: Requests $4.2 million to purchase 710 Colfax. City Council already approved the purchase of 700 Colfax and 710 Colfax and approved a supplemental of $3 million for 710 Colfax. The $4.2 million would be transferred to a capital project fund, Accounting No. 34060-257000-ZM001
CIP Project fund for Navigate Denver North: Requests $345,000 for Navigate Denver North. This will be an addition to the Atkins contract (the GO Bond program management contract) and will assist with notifying residents and businesses of construction occurring in the GES neighborhood. The rescission from General Fund Contingency will be re-appropriated to a CIP project fund, Accounting No. 34080-0146000-MO001.
