A resolution approving a proposed Amendatory Agreement between the City and County of Denver and PCL Construction Services, Inc. to add additional funds to complete the construction of the Northfield Fire Station.
Amends a contract with PCL Construction Services, Inc. by adding $2,707,782 for a new total of $7,996,134 to complete construction of the Northfield Fire Station in Council District 8. No change to contract duration (201842009). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 2-25-19. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 12-4-18.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
This amendment, which is planned for as part of the buyout strategy for the project, will add necessary scope to complete construction of the Northfield Fire Station. To expedite buyout and construction start, and to avoid cost escalation related to tariffs and general market conditions, the procurement strategy for this project is to bid two separate design packages. The first package serves as the basis for the initial CMGC / GMP contract and included site work, concrete foundations, structural steel, masonry, mechanical units and select equipment. This second bid package includes remaining work necessary for completion of the project including site concrete, exterior wall construction, and interior buildout.
