Type and Scope of services to be performed: This is the fourth amendment to an existing revenue agreement. The original contract was procured as a sole source at the request of the airline fuel committee, made up of DEN’s signatory airlines. Aircraft Service International, Inc., is the current operator of DEN’s aircraft and vehicle fueling system.  Amendments 01, 02 and 03 extended the contract term, also at the request of the airline fuel committee.  The full extent of this contract has been twenty years.  This amendment will extend the contract term by six (6) months to allow enough time to complete the Competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process to select a new Fuel System Operator. The airline fuel committee has also given the approval for this extension.  The airlines pay all of the costs for the maintenance, operation and management of the fueling system, plus the debt service for the original construction, improvements and additions to the fueling system. The RFP process for a new Fuel System Operator has taken longer than expected because the DEN Engineering Department would not accept the current scope as viable for the new RFP/Contract. DEN then contracted with engineering firm Burns and McDonnell to create an acceptable scope of work that would encompass the entire fuel system and the operator’s responsibilities.
