A resolution approving a proposed Ninth Amendatory Agreement between the City and County of Denver and CenturyLink Communications, LLC f/k/a Qwest Communications Company, LLC to extend the term and increase the compensation to provide maintenance service to the City’s 911 phone switches and supporting systems.
Amends a contract with CenturyLink Communications LLC by adding $200,000 for a new total of $3,671,588.63 and six months for a new end date of 6-30-19 for the monitoring, maintenance and support of the Denver 911 Vesta Meridian Telephone system at 950 Josephine Street in Council District 10 and 303 West Colfax Avenue in Council District 9 as a new system is being finalized to replace the existing technology (TECHS - CE76017). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 5-6-19. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 4-2-19.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
Vendor will provide continued professional support of Denver’s 911 Telephone System. This contract provides vendor maintenance and support of the Denver 911 telephony systems at 950 Josephine and 303 W Colfax. The scope of work includes both the Nortel/Avaya PBX and the Vesta Meridian CTI at the main center located at 950 Josephine and the backup 911 center located at 303 W Colfax. This maintenance contract is only needed to extend the coverage for the current Denver 911 Telephone system through June 30, 2019. A new 911 telephones system is installed at the combined communications center and will go-live in the second quarter of 2019. The new system will replace the older technology in place today and this contract will no longer be needed.
