Type and Scope of services to be performed:

Denver Palm Corporation’s restaurant, The Palm, utilizes an area of land within Skyline Park block 2 for outdoor seating for their patrons; the space includes tables, chairs, awnings, planters, and other facilities necessary or convenient for the outdoor service and consumption of food and beverages. This amendment extends the term approximately two years to coincide with the City’s design and reconstruction of Skyline Park timeline; the 2017 General Obligation Bond includes funding for the renovation of Skyline Park block 2, and construction is expected to begin by February 1, 2022.

The Outdoor Downtown plan, 20-year strategic plan for downtown’s parks and public spaces, identified the need for more food and beverage options throughout downtown’s parks.  This agreement provides park visitors with such food and beverage service. The use of the park’s edge, equaling 944 square feet, for the Palm Restaurant’s outdoor patio space activates block 2 of Skyline Park, and creates an urban park that is more vibrant, comfortable, inviting and safe for all.
