Amends an intergovernmental agreement with School District Number One by adding $106,376.72 for a new total of $559,018.70 and six months for a new end date of 6-30-20 to co-operate the Denver Afterschool Alliance to support Denver afterschool providers by offering tools and resources to help improve program quality and measure outcomes, citywide (MOEAI-201952054).The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 11-25-19. The Denver Afterschool Alliance (DAA) is an intermediary comprised of stakeholders including the City and County of Denver, Denver Public Schools (DPS), and many of Denver’s community-based organizations. We support Denver afterschool providers by offering tools and resources to help improve program quality and measure outcomes. We advocate for Denver afterschool providers on local, state, and national levels; and promote efforts to build a strong and stable workforce for out-of-school time. Our goals are to increase access and continuously improve afterschool experiences for all youth so they can succeed and Denver can thrive.
DPS’s Department of Extended Learning, Community Schools (DELCS) is a primary partner of the DAA providing vision, leadership, talent, and operational support.
