A resolution approving a proposed First Amendment between the City and County of Denver and Sky Blue Builders concerning construction services for the Great Hall Project at Denver International Airport.
Amends a contract with Sky Blue Builders by adding $20,000,000 for a new total of $23,000,000 and four years and four months for a new end date of 12-31-24 for general construction services for the Great Hall Project at Denver International Airport (201734022). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 12-9-19. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 11-6-19.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
Work will include implementation of required security measures within the existing Great Hall Project work site, as well as installation of priority winter protection measures, including; roof edge protection, waterproofing of perimeter walls, temporary heating, and protection of any exposed building elements. Work will also include coordination with the Great Hall Project’s new Phase 1 General Contractor to collaborate, plan, and prepare for the commencement of the Great Hall Project’s Phase 1 work. Additional scope may include all types of construction both inside and outside of the airport facilities as the airport's needs warrant. Work may include general tenant fit-outs, interior/exterior finish repairs, building improvements, plumbing, electrical, life safety, HVAC, or other general construction projects as deemed necessary.
