A bill for an ordinance approving a proposed Seventh Amended and Restated Intergovernmental Agreement to Provide Fire Protection between the City and County of Denver and the City of Sheridan.
Amends an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Sheridan by renewing the agreement for an additional year through 12-31-20 at an annual rate of $2,148,634 in revenue to provide fire protection services to the City of Sheridan (FIRES201208809 FIRES-201952305). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 12-16-19. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 11-6-19.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
Seventh Amendment to Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) for the Denver Fire Department to provide fire protection services within the municipal boundary of the City of Sheridan (including specific fire prevention services-plan reviews, fire safety inspections, etc.). In 2010, the City and County of Denver entered into an agreement with the City of Sheridan to provide fire suppression services for its citizens. The initial IGA was approximately a 2-year period (9/15/10-12/31/12). Beginning with the Second Amended and Restated Agreement, City of Sheridan officials requested for the review and renewal of the IGA on an annual basis.
