This bill request authorizes a supplemental appropriation to purchase Tooley Hall, a community corrections facility currently owned and operated by GEO. The City has extended its contract with GEO for the services provided in the building. With the purchase of Tooley Hall, the City intends to assume operational responsibility of the Community Corrections services that had been provided by GEO, include the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy program. These services are funded by a contract with the State.
