Amends an agreement with Inland Technologies International, Limited by adding $800,000 for a new total of $5,175,000 to make updates and repairs to the Aircraft Deicing System (ADS) at Denver International Airport. No change to agreement duration (201209071). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 4-13-20. Type and Scope of services to be performed:
Denver International Airport’s (DEN) Aircraft Deicing System (ADS) is currently operated and maintained under a contract with Inland Technologies International, LTD (Inland). This contract was authorized in 2014 for a term of seven years with a contract liability of $4,375,000. The contract expires on June 30, 2021. Portions of the ADS, specifically the glycol distillation system, are at or beyond their life expectancy and have experienced increased maintenance costs and catastrophic equipment failures that have necessitated emergency repairs that exceed the projected annual contract budget. This amendment request is to increase the contract liability in order to fund the contract through its original expiration while a new contract is competitively procured. The ADS is critical airport infrastructure to support efficient winter operations and compliance with regulatory permits.
