Type and Scope of services to be performed:

The purpose of the Project is to provide improvements along 48th Avenue to support access and safety improvements to the RTD 48th and Brighton Station at the National Western Center. The new sidewalk will connect the Elyria Swansea neighborhood to the National Western Center and RTD station, providing a direct and continuous pedestrian connection between Brighton Boulevard, Elyria Park, and the bus stop at 48th Ave and Claude Ct serving RTD’s Rt 48. Specifically, the Project will:

•build a 5-ft detached sidewalk and curb and gutter on the south side of 48th Ave from Brighton Blvd to Claude Ct;

•replace full depth asphalt on the eastbound 48th Avenue travel lane; and

•mill and overlay the westbound travel lane of 48th Avenue from Brighton Boulevard to Claude Court.
