Type and Scope of services to be performed:

The proposed contract amendment would extend use of the Hall of Education located within the National Western Complex as a men’s auxiliary shelter through August 15, 2020. The extension of the use of the Hall of Education includes support for repairs at the facility after the city’s use as shelter, with repairs reimbursable through October 31, 2020. In total the contract adds $835K to the current contract amount to support the extended use as shelter and repairs to the facility. The new total contract amount would be $1,685,000. The NWC auxiliary shelter has a capacity to serve up to 765 men, with 24/7 support provided that includes food, showers, laundry and other services. The NWC auxiliary shelter is operated by the Denver Rescue Mission in partnership with city leaders and other contractors such as security and Colorado Coalition for the Homeless’ Stout Street Health Clinic for medical triage.
