Amends a contract with TransCore, L.P. by adding $1,289,144 for a new total of $2,592,467 and two years for a new end date of 10-23-22 for support of maintenance, upgrades, and professional services for the Automated Vehicle Identification (AVI) revenue control system and the Gatekeeper software at Denver International Airport (202054279-01). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 8-31-20. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 8-5-20.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
The purpose of this amendment is to extend the current maintenance service agreement with TransCore that started on October 24, 2017. The 1.3 million contract liability will be exhausted by the end of the current term, October 23, 2020. This first amendment is requesting to exercise the 2 one-year extensions and a budget increase of $1,289,144. The increased amounts in 2020 and 2021are for software and hardware changes associated with the public parking facilities as they transition to NextGen. Additionally, TransCore is responsible for providing support in terms of maintenance, upgrades, and professional services for DEN’s Automated Vehicle Identification (AVI) revenue control system and the Gatekeeper software. The AVI system is a critical component of both the Ground Transportation - commercial vehicles and transportation network company access process - and the DEN Parking facilities services. The system also plays a key part in reporting trip charges for invoicing of the collection of revenue. Due to the proprietary nature of the TransCore System, it is advantageous to DEN to continue the maintenance services of TransCore.
