Type and Scope of services to be performed:

DUG operates and maintains multiple community garden sites on City property. DUG has operated community gardens at various sites within Denver for the benefit and use of members of the public interested in gardening for decades. The community gardens in parks benefit citizens by enhancing the lives and health of the neighborhood residents, contributing to developing more deeply-rooted communities surrounding the parks, and serving as a catalyst for broader park stewardship. DUG designs and builds new community gardens within DPR's specifications, assists neighborhood garden leaders in efforts to organize garden participants, assists garden leaders in developing and enforcing garden rules and DPR rules and regulations, supports garden leaders in their efforts to allocate plots to community members equitably and maintain the garden to DPR standards, and educates leaders and garden participants in key aspects of creating successful community gardens.
