Type and Scope of services to be performed:

Parks will drill a well into the Arapahoe aquifer approximately six hundred feet in depth.  This water will serve as storage for Harvey Park Lake.  It will also provide back-up irrigation water, if necessary.  Currently the only water right at Harvey is for irrigation.  This water is not allowed to be used for filling the lake or storage.

Denver Water will evaluate the well for a potential Aquifer Storage and Recovery (ASR) Facility.  An ASR Facility will allow Denver Water to use the well to pump surplus potable water from the municipal system back into the ground for storage, to be used later.  If Denver Water chooses to pursue an ASR Facility at Harvey Park, Denver Water and DPR will meet to discuss all aspects of the proposed facility.  The Executive Director of DPR must approve the location and design of the ASR facility prior to construction.
