Establishes the “Ryan White Needs Assessment IGA” Special Revenue Fund in the Public Health Series and appropriates $125,000 based on a contract with the State to conduct a needs assessment for the Ryan White program. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 10-27-20.

The Denver Department of Public Health and Environment has entered into a contract with the State to deliver a needs assessment of clients and providers of Ryan White Part A HIV/AIDS Program services in the Denver Transitional Grant Area. This is a cost reimbursement contract whose term currently ends in 2021. There is a forthcoming amendment that will extend the contract into 2022.
This bill request seeks to establish a new Special Revenue Fund in the Public Health Series to administer the program, as well as to appropriate $125,000, the value of the contract. The new SRF will be called the “Ryan White Needs Assessment IGA” and will be appropriated and non-lapsing, since the contract ends in 2021, possibly 2022. The expending authority will be the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment. The Fund Number is 14822.
