A resolution approving a proposed First Amendment between the City and County of Denver and Hensel Phelps Construction Co. concerning Construction Management and General Contracting services for the Great Hall Program at Denver International Airport.
Amends a contract with Hensel Phelps Construction Company by adding $170,000,000 for a new total of $365,000,000 and 836 calendar days for a new end date of 4-15-24 to continue to provide Construction Management and General Contracting (CM/GC) services for the Great Hall Program, Phase Two at Denver International Airport (202056840). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 12-21-20. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 11-25-20.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
Phase 2 work includes construction on Levels 4, 5 & 6. This work includes, but is not limited to:
• Expanding the Level 6 ticketing check-in area in North end of Terminal on Western side only and constructing a new TSA security checkpoint
• Upgrading and modernizing the escalators
• Upgrading HVAC, lighting, and fire alarm systems
• Refreshing all finishes
This amendment would extend the duration of the contract to April 15, 2024, increase the maximum contract amount by $170 million to $365 million, and amend the milestones and liquidated damages, including by adding new milestones related to the Phase 2 work.
