A resolution approving and providing for the execution of a proposed Grant Agreement between the City and County of Denver and the United States Department of Labor concerning the “H1-B Technology in Colorado Partnership (TEC-P)” program and the funding therefor.
Approves a grant agreement with the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration for $7,383,999 and for four years to deliver and expand the regional H1-B Technology in Colorado Partnership (TEC-P) Program that provides job/career counseling and training for people in industries such as information technology and advanced manufacturing, citywide (OEDEV-202157826-00). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 4-5-21. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 3-3-21.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
The proposed four-year Grant Agreement, between the City and County of Denver and the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration (DOL/ETA), shall provide for the continuation and expansion of the H1-B Technology in Colorado Partnership (TEC-P) Program that provides job/career counseling and training to people in industries such as information technology and advanced manufacturing. The payment made by the DOL/ETA to the City pursuant to and under the Grant Agreement shall be deposited into the Treasury of the City and credited to Special Fund No. 17100, which is set forth and described in Section 20-18 of the Revised Municipal Code of the City and County of Denver.
