Approves a contract with The Salvation Army for $660,852 and through 9-30-22 to provide rapid rehousing and homelessness prevention services to individuals and families who are at risk of homelessness or are transitioning out of homelessness, citywide (HOST 202157716). Type and Scope of services to be performed:
The Salvation Army will provide HUD, ESG-CV, Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing services. The Salvation Army will serve 52 unduplicated households at risk of or transitioning out of homelessness due to the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19).
The Salvation Army will provide:
• Housing Now program which serves homeless families (with children under 18 years old) in the greater Denver region by providing progressive case management at office locations in Denver and Aurora or in client homes
• Homeless Prevention and Rapid ReHousing services to individuals and families in Denver who are experiencing housing instability resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and related economic impacts.
• Rapid Re-Housing to individuals or families living in shelters or in places not meant for human habitation move as quickly as possible into permanent housing and achieve stability in that housing
• Varied assistance with lease application fees, security deposits and/or rent, utilities and household essentials
• Housing-focused case management, life skills education
