Approves a contract with The Salvation Army for $1,650,000 and through 12-31-23 to provide rapid re-housing services to unsheltered people experiencing homelessness, citywide (HOST 202057236). Type and Scope of services to be performed:
The Salvation Army (TSA) will provide a range of short to medium-term, limited services through brief, solution-focused case management to remove barriers to housing. All case management and housing navigation services are housing focused in their delivery.
1. Rapid Re-housing Services may include the following:
a. Locate, inspect and offer appropriate and fair housing choices.
b. Varied rent assistance, including security deposit.
c. Assessment of housing stability.
d. Ongoing supportive services.
2. The Salvation Army will administer the Housing NOW-Rapid Re-Housing Program. The Housing NOW program will provide financial assistance to eligible participants assisting them in locating, obtaining and maintaining suitable housing.
