This bill request authorizes a supplemental appropriation of $434,750 in the Department of Excise and Licenses to support the 2021 implementation costs of the long-term rental licensing program. This program was introduced by City Council through CB21-0420 and is expected to pass second reading on Monday, May 3rd. The supplemental appropriation will cover costs of two new positions for the remainder of 2021, Accela expenses to implement the new license, community outreach, and technology expenses for new FTE. These costs are itemized in the following table:
