Type and Scope of services to be performed:

Provide a new recreation center in the Westwood neighborhood of Denver on a site with a land area of approximately 2.9 acres. The Westwood Recreation Center may include indoor aquatics facilities, gymnasium, and fitness areas for weights and cardio activities. Other services may also include leisure pool, therapy pool, walk/jog track, sports courts, community meeting rooms, senior or youth rooms, offices, dressing rooms, and support spaces.  During the design and public engagement phases of the project, the design team shall develop a specific program for the project that addresses community priorities and Elevate Denver Bond Program requirements, evaluate features and modern concepts, and align the program and concepts with the project budget.    This project will also include site development, parking and landscaping surrounding the recreation center.  The existing buildings on the site have been demolished and abated, including trace materials prior to this scope of work. The existing surface paving including elements and utilities below as well as existing light poles were demolished at the time of building demolition and therefore are included in this scope of work.   All improvements will meet current code requirements (including current ADA regulations) as well sustainability policies established in Executive Order 123.
