State law requires a public hearing be conducted prior to City Council approving a Service Plan for a new metropolitan district, or an amendment to a service plan for an existing district, with no less than 20 days’ notice prior to the hearing. The public hearing for the West Globeville Metropolitan District No. 1 and West Globeville Metropolitan District No. 2 is anticipated to be November 29, 2021. The metropolitan districts’ primary purpose will be to finance, construct, own and maintain public infrastructure supporting commercial and residential mixed-use development of the Fox Park site.
