Vendor/Contractor Name (including any “DBA”): RS&H, Inc.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:

RS&H, Inc. was retained to begin design on improvements on Washington Street from the S. Platte River north to the City Limits at 52nd Ave., to perform preliminary design on 51st Ave. and 48th  Ave. in the area, and to perform conceptual analyses of two bridges also in close proximity to this stretch of Washington St.  However, as confirmed in Contract Amendment No. 1, it was decided that it is in the City's best interests to also have RS&H complete a Prioritization Plan and Outreach Strategy to coordinate the many projects in the GES area, and to have RS&H perform a Value Engineering Analyses to determine how the improvements on Washington St. may need to be modified so that the work on Washington St. can be completed within budget. It was also confirmed in Contract Amendment No. 1 that RS&H would provide final design/engineering services on 51st Avenue to facilitate completing a connection to the National Western Center. It has now been decided by the DOTI On-Call Procurement Subcommittee that the design of sidewalks near 51st Ave. on Clarkson St. and on 52nd Ave. should also be done under this contract.  Therefore, this requested Amendment to RS&H's contract adds $485,868.92 to the contract for the design work on sidewalks on Clarkson St. and 52nd Ave. and for completion of the Prioritization Plan and Outreach Strategy.  No additional time is requested in this Amendment.  Also, once the scope of improvements on Washington Street and adjacent roads, bridges, and other features is known, and when construction on 51st Ave. is better defined and more imminent, the Contract will be amended in the future as needed for the needed services.
