A resolution approving a proposed Contract between the City and County of Denver and BT Construction, Inc. to add compensation and a new end date to extend a storm drain system in Council District 9.
Approves a contract with BT Construction, Inc. for $4,881,198 and for 180 days to extend a storm drain system along Marion Street from East 27th Avenue south to East 25th Avenue in Council District 9 (DOTI-202160132). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 12-20-21. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 11-23-21.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
This project is to extend a storm drain system from Phase 1 (between MLK Blvd. and E. 27th Avenue) across two city blocks and is to end at E. 25th Avenue. The majority of the work consists of open cut construction of an 8'x8' box, a 96" RCP, lateral pipes, inlets, manholes, and drainage structures. Other areas of work include waterline relocation and surface restoration (paving) in areas where construction impacts the existing infrastructure.
