Approves a contract with CenturyLink Communications, LLC, doing business as Lumen Technologies Group, for $14,084,973.24 and for eight years, with a two-year option to extend, for a new optical transport network to provide voice and data communication services at Denver International Airport (201950468). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 1-10-22. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 12-8-21.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
DEN intends to replace the legacy SONET network with a new optical transport network that supports today’s newer Internet Protocol (IP) based technologies with hardware/software that is supportable by manufacturers. IP based technologies are now the industry-recognized standard for communication services. This new solution will enable DEN to support the future voice and data communication needs of the growing campus, airport staff, airline partners and tenants.
