Approves the Mayoral appointments of LeRita Cavness, Christopher Conner, Linda Foster, Madisen Frederick, Djuana Harvell, Marsena Holsopple, Flavia Zarcula, Melanie Tsuchida, and Cori Streetman to the Denver Nonprofit Engagement Commission for terms effective immediately and expiring 1-1-24, or until a successor is duly appointed. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 2-8-22.

Mayoral Appointments to the Denver Nonprofit Engagement Commission
To approve the Mayoral appointments of the following individuals to the Denver Nonprofit Engagement Commission:
LeRita Cavness, Denver (F)(AA) for a term expiring January 1, 2024, appointed;
Christopher Conner, Lakewood (M)(C) for a term expiring January 1, 2024, appointed;
Linda Foster, Denver (F)(C) for a term expiring January 1, 2024, appointed;
Madisen Frederick, Denver (F)(C) for a term expiring January 1, 2024, appointed
Djuana Harvell, Denver (F)(AA) for a term expiring January 1, 2024, appointed;
Marsena Holsopple, Denver (F)(C) for a term expiring January 1, 2024, appointed;
Flavia Zarcula, Arvada (F)(C) for a term expiring January 1, 2024, appointed;
Melanie Tsuchida, Lakewood (F)(Asian) for a term expiring January 1, 2024, appointed;
Cori Streetman, Denver (F)(C) for a term expiring January 1, 2024, appointed.
Purpose/Scope of the Board: The Commission shall make recommendations to the Mayor regarding nonprofit sector issues related but not limited to: policies affecting the nonprofit sectors, possible City of Denver/nonprofit partnerships and identifying potential resources.
Member Qualifications: Representatives from nonprofit organizations, nonprofit intermediaries, foundations, umbrella organizations, nonprofit consultants and city and state governments
Selection Process and why these applicants were chosen: Members bring more than 75 years of combined experience in nonprofit engagement and will provide a broader and deeper reach into the nonprofit sector.
