Type and Scope of services to be performed:

In 2017, DEN signed Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) contracts with Holder-FCI Joint Venture and Turner-Flatiron Joint Venture for furnishing all labor, tools, supplies, equipment, materials, and everything necessary and required for the construction of the Concourse Expansion Program (Phase 1).  In June 2020, the Turner-Flatiron Contract was amended to address additional airline requests to accommodate increased passenger forecasts, additional air service and the need for more gate space (Phase 2).

This second amendment to the Turner-Flatiron Contract, in the amount of $185M will increase capacity to accommodate the following additional scope:

Concourse A Gate Apron Rehab (GARDI):   Gate phasing in 2022 will provide a unique opportunity to complete apron work while gates are unavailable.  The Apron area at Gates A40, A48, A50, A52, A54 & A60 are in a poor condition and require apron and pavement drainage improvements.  Performing this work now, under this contract, minimizes operational impacts to the airport and the airlines and provide potential cost efficiencies.

A-East Ground Load Expansion: This addition provides for a total of 14 ground load gates to satisfy the Frontier lease agreement.  We intend to use modular construction for the building.  The scope of work also includes jet fueling, a maintenance facility, new hold room, existing holdroom modifications, office space and new elevator and escalator.  We anticipate a two-year design and construction schedule.

This amendment to the Turner-Flatiron Contract will increase contract capacity to accommodate these additional project requirements and meet aggressive schedules.
