A bill for an ordinance establishing a new Fund in the Community Development Special Revenue Fund Series to receive and administer “Community Development State Grants” programs.
Establishes the “Community Development State Grants Fund” in the Community Development Special Revenue Fund Series to receive and administer grants from the State of Colorado. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 6-7-22.

This bill request establishes the “Community Development State Grants Fund”, Fund number 16302, to receive and administer grants from the State of Colorado that have a Community Development purpose, including programs related to housing and homelessness resolution, as well as support services. Grants received into this fund will be primarily administered by the Department of Housing Stability (it can be used by other agencies who receive state grants with a Community Development purpose).
The expending authority of the new grant fund will be the Executive Director of the Department of Housing Stability or other executive directors, as appropriate, if another department or agency receives a state grant award within the fund’s stated purpose. The Fund will be sponsor funded and non-lapsing.
