Title: A resolution approving and providing for the execution of a proposed amended Grant Agreement between the City and County of Denver and the State of Colorado for the "Tobacco Usage (CORE)" program and the funding therefor. Type and Scope of services to be performed:

This program serves to build/enhance comprehensive tobacco control programming efforts and explore opportunities to significantly impact the tobacco usage rates of low socioeconomic status (low-SES) community members; increase access to/uptake of evidence-based tobacco treatment services; provide education to facilitate/promote adoption of smoke-free policies to eliminate secondhand smoke/vapor. Additionally, Tobacco use is higher among the following populations: 1) Adults with lower income/education level; 2) Young adults age 18-24 who go to work rather than college; 3) Black/African American and American Indian/Alaska Native adults; 4) Pregnant women who are on Medicaid; 5) Adults with mental health conditions; 6) LGBT youth/adults. This program will aim to reduce tobacco related disparities in high burdened populations.
